The Greater Manchester Bee Network team has today revealed its Walking and Cycling Investment Plan, entitled Change a Region to Change a Nation.
The report sets out the region’s progress to date with building its proposal to provide safe active travel options across the whole region. In doing so, it seeks to secure the £1.5 billion in government funding required to ensure the plans become reality.
It is considered to be a blueprint for other car-centric regions of the UK to follow suit in making dramatic improvements to enhance the livability and vibrancy of our streets.
Today, @AndyBurnhamGM and @Chris_Boardman call on Government for a funding commitment to deliver the 1,800 mile Bee Network 🐝
This will help deliver 1 million more sustainable journeys GM & make leaving the car at home a real option ✅
