Walk Ride GM campaigns to make walking, cycling and other active travel modes the natural choice for short journeys and as part of longer journeys across Greater Manchester.
- We fully support the GM Bee Network vision of an ‘integrated, sustainable public transport system with walking and cycling embedded’ and want to help make it happen sooner (by 2030).
- We support local groups across the region, all campaigning to make their areas safe, accessible and pleasant for people moving around where they live, play or work.
- We want to see a culture shift : so that instead of being the default, the private motor car should be just one factor in a balanced mix of transport options.
- We campaign for active travel but also consider it in the context of an integrated sustainable travel and transport network with walking and cycling embedded to allow seamless travel without the need for a car
