Building on the success of our awards in 2025 and 2024, Walk Ride GM are launching nominations for our annual Active Travel Awards, and this year we want your nominations for the different categories.
The Active Travel Awards celebrate the progress being made across our city region for active travel. Everything from the best active travel scheme built this year, to celebrating the community groups and champions who are working hard to make walking, wheeling and cycling more accessible and inclusive in all parts of Greater Manchester.
Nominating someone or somewhere is easy. Just complete our simple online nominations form. Nomination deadline: 16 October.
This year we’re looking for nominations in the following categories:
- People’s Active Travel Champion
- Best Activation Event
- Best Campaign or Community Group
- Greatest Campaign Success
- Best Proposed Active Travel Scheme
- Best Community Engagement and Co-design
- Best Completed Active Travel Scheme
- Best Education Travel Scheme
- Best Property Development Supporting Active Travel
- Best and Most Improved Council
