Pavements for people, not parking

Pavement parking comes up time and time again in every public meeting about better walking and cycling.

In London it is banned.

In Scotland it is banned.

The Department of Transport completed a consultation on banning pavement parking in England over three years ago but still hasn’t produced its response.

So for now let’s have a crackdown on anti-social and obstructive parking.

We can’t just rely on police and councils to patrol it, but we can do more to empower communities to make it socially unacceptable.
